How do I join Tri Limits Triathlon Club?

Joining TLTC is straightforward and we welcome new members. Read through this page to answer any questions you might have and then contact us through social media or email info@trilimits.com. When you join you will be assigned a buddy and they will answer any of your queries. If you wish to sign up it is done through www.triathlonireland.ie

What training sessions does TLTC run for members?

TLTC offers training that covers all elements of triathlon, swim, bike, run and transition. We also offer training in other areas such as strength and conditioning, please visit our training page for current timetable . Triathlon racing season runs from about May to September, but there are plenty of other events throughout the off season we enter too.

What Coaching does TLTC Offer?

TLTC has a structured training programme that is all inclusive and caters for all members regardless of ability. For those starting out on their triathlon journey we do ask that you can swim 200m continuous before attending coached swimming sessions. If your not there yet don’t let that put you off there are 2 other sports to master and in the meantime you can book swimming lessons at your local Leisure Centre. Newbies can be integrated into current training sessions and this is a great way to meet fellow club members.

What about lockdown ?

TLTC have learned to adapt to changing circumstances, when we can’t attend training sessions we go virtual, and keep our members motivated through zoom training sessions, challenges and supporting each other.

Do you have a beginner program ?

We did in 2019 and 2020 and although very successful we found we could easily integrate beginners into our current club training and now operate a buddy system so when you join the club you’ll be assigned a buddy and they will help you with any questions you may have and introduce you to club training sessions. Our members are very friendly and each one of them was a beginner too, and if they don’t have the answers they will guide you to someone who does.

What is TLTC Strong Mind Strong Body ?

We believe mindset and attitude are key to performance and health, we also recognise that from time to time members may struggle. This is our mental health project, which we have delivered with support from local mental Health charity Niamh Louise. The committee has recognised its value and aim to make it a key part of our strategy moving forward.

Does the Club have any social activities?

Yes, we are a very sociable and family orientated club and have a number of social events throughout the year where you can get to know members and let your hair down. Highlights are our Christmas Dinner, and in Summer an appreciation event for all the family with good food and bouncy castles. We decide on club races early in the season.

Does the club organise any races?

The club hosts a middle distance race every year, at Eskragh Lough and it is a brilliant day out for competitors and marshalls alike.
